Oculus Quest vs. Oculus Quest 2
The Oculus Quest 2 is the latest version of the original Oculus Quest. The new version is lighter in weight and much finer, faster, and stronger than the previous one. The Oculus Quest 2 is 50% higher in pixel resolution than the original. The Oculus Quest 2 costs $299 USD and is $100 cheaper than the previous version. The Oculus Quest 2 is white, while the previous version was black. The Oculus Quest 2 is also capable of connecting with your PC through Oculus Link. A Facebook account is a requirement for using the Oculus Quest 2, while in the older model, this was not mandatory. The battery capacity of both headsets is almost the same, i.e., 2-3 hours, and it is a major drawback of Oculus Quest 2 that it has not improved its battery capacity while other controllers have doubled their battery timings. Apart from that, the Oculus Quest 2 is overall a great improvement from its predecessor.
