Canada’s Tulip Launches Tulip Pay for In-Person Retail Transactions news

Tulip, which provides cloud-based retail customer engagement solutions, has launched Tulip Pay, a payment integration powered by the fintech firm Stripe.

Tulip Pay is a full-feature payment system made to support in-person retail transactions. The company claims it is “quick to deploy and easy to maintain”. It will utilise Stripe’s technology, Stripe Terminal, which includes a set of developer interfaces, pre-certified card readers and logistics management tools.

The new product offers over 100 payment methods and a “seamless” integration with Tulip POS.

Stripe is a US-based fintech giant providing financial infrastructure platforms for businesses.

“The retail technology landscape is getting more and more complex. Tulip’s vision is to make our POS system a one-stop-shop that enables our clients to deploy a complete transaction and payment system quickly and easily. And so, Tulip Pay was created,” comments Roberto Grandillo, EVP of product management at Tulip.

“We believe retailers will appreciate bundling these two logical components into one, with a single source of support.”

Founded in 2013 and based in Toronto, Canada, some of Tulip’s customers include Kate Spade, COACH and Michael Kors, among others.
