Vodafone Business has launched a productivity app for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in partnership with American business management software provider vcita.

Through its latest offering, Vodafone aims to provide SMEs with the same productivity advantages that are usually readily available to large companies.

Called Vodafone Business Management tool with vcita, the app claims to replace “time-consuming and costly” manual tasks with automated and digital services, enabling SMEs to boost productivity, improve customer relations and increase revenue.

The app has been initially launched in Italy at a price point of €45 per month for the CRM starter or a more advanced version at €75 per month, with a progressive rollout scheduled in other European markets.

Citing unnamed research, Vodafone says that around 84% of SMEs still rely on manual processes to complete daily tasks such as invoicing, which consumes a lot of time. Its latest app, Vodafone says, will be especially beneficial for small businesses with limited resources to automate essential tasks while managing costs and growing their customer base.

Giorgio Migliarina, interim CEO of Vodafone Business, said: “Vodafone Business’ goal is to become the trusted partner for all companies, both small and large, on their digital journey. Our partnership with vcita is part of our investment in the development of software, cloud, and cyber security products specifically for SMEs who are key to the future prosperity of our economies.”

The launch forms part of Vodafone’s effort to expand its portfolio of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications and bundled connectivity products aimed at helping SMEs with their own digital transformations.
